I had a job interview at a staffing place today in downtown Philly. It was exciting! I went all by my self downtown and parked and walked to the building and didn't get lost! They are refering me for a job doing A/R for a billing company in PA - it's like a half an hour drive. I'm going on Tuesday for an interview with the company.
Tomorrow I have an interview in Wilmington at a doctor's office to do front desk work.

The Trip...
Sorry I haven't posted yet... I've either been at church, at a church event, or sleeping because I've felt like crap for the past four days...
The trip went well for the most part. We left Sunday night at 10:00 from Crossroads Church in MD (the church we went with). We stopped for breakfast at CrakerBarell about 8:30, then got to Tenn Temple about 10:00, but check in wasn't until noon, so we went and wandered around the mall for a little while, then went back and checked in and took showers and all that other fun stuff. The other thing that really went on the first day was chapel. Clayton King was the speaker and was pretty much amazing. He presented the gospel from the view point that there is someone out there who wants to kill you (Satan) and someone who can save you (Jesus). That night Natalie Grant gave a concert. Tuesday morning the guys and girls broke up for chapel. One of the ladies from Calling Levi talking to the girls and I'm not sure who talked to the guys. Tuesday afternoon was pretty unorgaized and not much fun - when you have that many kids in one place, you need to have more that just sports going on - not everyone likes playing sports. Tuesday night in chapel, Ergun Caner spoke. He was pretty cool - he's from Turkey and used to be a muslim and is the president of the seminary at Liberty now (but not the type of person you would picture as being the president of a seminary). He talked about finding your calling in life. That night Building 429 gave a concert :) (as far as Christian rock go - they are my favorite) Wednesday we got up and went to Six Flags in Atlanta for the several hours. I'm pretty sure doctors needs to start telling people with kidney stones that if they go on roller coasters there is a good chance their kidney stones will come out - I passed four on Wednesday and peed blood for a while - it wasn't much fun. Wednesday night Johnathan Farwell spoke and Chris Sligh gave a concert. Brent and I don't remember what he talked about - other than he talked about having to speek at his dad's funeral and that God gave him the words to say, that his dad would have wanted all of the credit for the things in his life to go to God not to himself. Chris Sligh was on American Idol. Thursday morning the guys and girls were broken up again for chapel. A lady gave her testimony for the girls and had a huge impact on a couple of ours. Thursday afternoon there were most sports stuff and then some blow up things (bungee run, velcro wall, water slides), so it was a little better than Tuesday. Thursday night Tony Nolan spoke in chapel and talked about not playing games with God, not being one person at church and another person somewhere else. He was great. Then Big Daddy Weave gave a concert. We left half way through the concert to head home and drive through the night again. We got out of Chattenooga about 11:15 and got back to Wilmington about noon on Friday.
The downside of the trip were behavior issues - but I think in the end they all worked them selves out and the kids all learned from their consequences and the coversations that followed the consequenses.
Six of the seven kids we took accepted Christ and all seven of them learned so much!

Today is the day Brent has been waiting for... the day new Batman movie comes out!
Keyla had an interview this morning at a doctor's office. She things she really would enjoy the job. They are making a decision next Friday about it.
Keyla's kidneys are also acting up again and she hasn't been feeling very well, please pray for her as she doesn't want to be sick next week.
Next week is the Youth Alive conference at Tenn Temple University. We are taking 10 kids. It should be a grand time. Please pray for safety as we travel, as well as the conference - that the kids would learn something.
(Sorry, still no pictures. Keyla didn't go to VBS last night because she felt so icky)

High Crime Rate
One of the times we visited out here, Pastor Brad talked about how Philly was one of the most "depressed" cities in the United States. They came up with the most depressed cities by looking at crime rates and poverty and other stuff like that. Detroit was pretty high up on the list too...
I never thought much of it until today when I watch a whole news cast out here. During the hour, about 15 minutes were spent on commercials, about 5 minutes on weather, about another 5 on traffic and then the rest of the time on news. 95% of the news was about crime - murders, robberies, drive by's, fires, and so on. It's crazy. Most of the events they were talking about took place in Philly, which is a huge city with lots of people and lots of poverty and such... but still! That's so much crime. I always thought there was a lot in Grand Rapids, but that's nothing compared to Philly!

Bad bad day
Today was a terrible day for Brent... first of all, he failed his car test :(... and then just now, he decided he doesn't like his house when he couldn't find Keyla for about 10 minutes and was opening closets and everything... only to find her when she came back inside :(
But on the upside we both now have Delaware driver licenses (which probably makes us offical Delaware residents or something like that) and Keyla's car has a Delaware licenses plate!

A Trip To Philly!
We went to Philly today! It's really not that bad of a drive... it's only like 20 miles and the traffic really isn't all that bad. We wandered around and found Indepenence Hall and Indepence Park. We didn't go in the hall becuase there was a VERY long line and it started to look like it was going to rain. On the way home we got ice cream (and we didn't even have to get lost first!)

Half Way There.
We made it to Poland, OH, which is our half way point between Michigan and Delaware:)
