Sorry for not posting in so long...

We've been really busy the past month or so... so here are some highlights!


In January I went back to working five days a week - and finally this week we got to go back to our four day work weeks!

The first weekend in Febuary I went back to Michigan. My mom picked me up at the airport Friday morning and we headed to Mt. Pleasant to see Kara at CMU. We shopped and hung out and such. It was fun spending time with just the three of us:) Saturday I went to Grand Rapids and spent the day with my friend Melissa - we went shopping for a bridesmaid dress for me for her wedding. While in Grand Rapids I also got to see my friend Heather. Saturday night I spent the night in Battle Creek with my in-laws...and then went to church with them on Sunday. Sunday afternoon I headed back to Williamston and hung out with my mom and Mike. On Monday I had lunch with my Grandma and my aunt and cousin and then my Mom took me back to the airport.

While I was in Michigan we got a massive snow storm in Delaware, so Brent had fun being snowed in and shoveling. Once he got out, he hung out with our friends Ryan and Modesty and helped them pick out new fruniture.

Tuesday night it started snowing again and snowed all day Wednesday. I got Wednesday and Thursday off work....

We helped Ryan and Modesty move into their new appartment the next weekend.

Last weekend was pretty laid back, we didn't do too much. I went to a wedding shower on Sunday and we did the typical church stuff.

This afternoon I met my step-mom in Lancaster and picked up my little brother and sister. Tonight we took them to Chuck E Cheese and tomorrow we are going to the Circus with one of the teens from church. We'll meet Mariann again on Sunday in Lancaster so the kids can go home.

Next weekend Brent's parents are coming. For Christmas we bought Brent's dad tickets to the Atlantic 10 Women's Basketball Tournement in Maryland. They are flying in on Friday, so we are picking them up in Batlimore and going to spend the afternoon in Washington DC and then the night in Alexandia, VA. Saturday we'll watch some basketball and then head home. They go back to Michigan on Sunday afternoon.
Then the following Thursday Kara and her friend Hillary will be here. They are going to my dad's house for their Spring Break and are going to make the three hour drive to come see me and Brent before heading home.

Friday night we leave for Winter Camp somewhere north of Philly with 16 teens! It should be fun and exciting - I get to drive a 15 passenger van full of teens for three hours!


Well...that's what has been going on and what is coming up. I will try to update again soon!

Pretty Much Done

Our kitchen is pretty much done!!! I just have a couple more coats of paint and then it will be complete!

We have Counter Tops

We now have counter tops!!! A little later than expected, but I guess late is better than never....

We still don't have a sink....and the dishwasher isn't hooked up.... our contractor is supposed to come on Tuesday to install the sink and dishwasher. Hopefully he'll also put up the rest of the trim and put in the new window.

I still have to finish painting. I have primer on all of the "new" walls and most of the "new" ceiling. Hopefully in the next couple days, I will have the priming finish and can start painting. I am doing one of the walls red and the rest white. Still have to decide for sure what wall I am painting red. Any suggestions?

So far, I am very happy with the way it is all turning out. I'm excited for it all to be done though and to have my kitchen all back to normal and be able to cook again... and not have to run upstairs to get water... and for Brent to not have to do dishes in the bath tub.





In other news....

We are short a person at work... so I am working five days a week again for a while. I am also training one current employee to do front desk stuff, and it sounds like I will train the new employee once they are hired as well. I'm enjoying training others... and I am also learning lots of new stuff as I transition part time to billing. Doing both front desk stuff and billing makes work more enjoyable for me.

Stuff at church is changing a bit. We are starting a small group ministry in a couple weeks; sign ups are currently going on. Instead of leading a small group, Brent has been asked to lead Pioneer clubs for the little kids. The bad thing about this is that it is going to be taking place on Wednesday nights, which means the teens will no longer have a Wednesday night program. We will only have Sunday school on Sunday night with the teens.

The first weekend in February I am going home for a couple days. The purpose of the trip is to do wedding stuff with my friend Melissa that is getting married in May. I will also be back in May for the wedding. I am trying to work it out so I can see people when I am home....

In March we are taking 13 teens to winter camp. We are going somewhere different from where we went last year so the teens don't have to miss a day of school. I am looking forward to it...hopefully they will be no crutches and walking boots for this winter camp!
